Why would Foxes need their own entry?
Unless you're talking about their popularity in the Furry / Other-kin circles, but even then, that could just be a mention on those entries.

I'd leave an article like that to Don. Just look at his work on the Elephant article

In all seriousness, foxes do have quite a bit of spread as listed above. Same with wolves, too; wild canines seem to be popular on the internet. Now, that raises another question: should we have a page for wolves?

I've been wondering when exactly Foxes would get their own entry as a sub-entry of cute animals, because imo they are the cutest of them all and I have no idea why people have looked over it.

Horo and Momiji are wolves though…

In all honesty, I feel that a lot of these articles, although they may have foxes in them, are not connected enough to warrant mention a page for foxes. Is there really anything connecting Fox only, no items, final destination to foxes as a subculture besides the use of the character Fox? Not really. Same with something like Fox News. Maybe a good place to start would be with Kitsune, the Ylvis song, Stoned Fox, and maybe (but probably not) Star Fox as the mentioned related memes.
