I'm sure we've all heard of it by now. Meme or no?

I don't think so, but I'm not an admin, I bet you could get away with entering it into the database.
its not really repeated or parodied. Its just listened to over and over, like any other song.

Skyper hasn't even looked. It's been remixed and parodied beyond belief.
hmmm, thanks for pointing out my mistake.
I've been waiting for someone to think about this as a meme…I just suck at writing articles.
Ah, so this is where it came from.
i saw the remix here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/525454
I heard a teacher listening to that at school.
And then some other people talking about it.
I don't even.
Finally some posts about this. I say yes, I just suck at writing articles too
There IS an article on this. There's one in submissions here:

There are also two in the deadpool.
So far the meme entry hasn't been moved to Confirmed because the entry doesn't contain much info. Each year toward the beginning of the American Idol season, there are performances that are showcased because of their humorous performances. These rise to national attention purely because of the reach of the American Idol audience.
Today, we're in an age where countless current events and other large phenomena from other media are quickly spread around the internet and remixed a million ways.
This is entirely different from internet-grown phenomena. What happened online was more of a response to what they had been given from TV. These kinds of things have a very limited shelf-life, and there are many who argue that this kind of thing "isn't a meme."
A lot of these kinds of things turn out to be microtrends. Notable, but interest in them seems to die off quickly.
If you have any useful info that you think should be added to the entry, post it here or in the entry's comments. If you'd like to take a stab at editing the entry, send a message to the submitter, Denny Wood. https://knowyourmeme.com/users/dennywood
Huge MSM meme
+1 what Chris said:

Edit: 30 days search trending --
