Mashup musics = memetic enough ?

Lately, I came across a video on Youtube that I found epic in some ways.
Knowing that some guy had the great idea to Nirvana-roll people was simply awesome:

But then, I found out that more and more instances of “mashup musics” or “This well-known singer versus that well-known singer” videos started popping around.

it may be too early to be qualified as a meme, or maybe it is no meme at all but, anyways, some of it are great.

I don’t think this qualifies. I’ve seen dozens upon dozens of DJ’s do this. There’s even a Guitar Hero spin-off that features songs like this called DJ Hero: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dj_hero

But, if it’s a meme or not, these things will always be awesome.

Mashups are an example of a type of derivative, but not a meme of their own.
