Are they memes? Or annoying Copy pasta?

It matches the definition of a meme, sinces its wide spread on the internet.

I would not call it youtube comments, its just popular on youtube.

But what I'm wondering is if this should be filed under Copy Pasta.

Maybe.
But it's not YouTube exclusive.

Yeah they have a lot of it on any social network.

Its should be copy pasta, but a sub meme maybe??

Chain-comments are both memes and annoying copypasta. I wouldn't go so far as to make a general meme entry for all chain comments, but if you have specific ones, they'd definitely deserve meme entries.

There are a ton more, but these things are a classic case of the contagious behavior present in internet memes.

I was also talking about the ones like "post this to 5 other videos or you will die a strange death"

You know they have to be extremely stupid to be funny.

But I guess they are widespread across the internet, so it very well could be a meme.
