A type of youtube poop where a censor beep is placed in conversation to produce the lulz.

Good idea for an entry! It’s definitely pre-YTP and pre-Kimmel but I can’t seem to find the videos I’m thinking of.

I remember seeing early versions of this on Milkandcookies/Devilducky sometime around 2005-2006 but I can’t seem to find any of them now.

[edit] Hmmm. Maybe the videos I saw back then were Kimmel ‘Unnecessary Censorship’ spots. I can’t seem to find anything pre-2005 on either of those sites that aren’t Kimmel clips.

This entry refers to the YTMND fad which uses the same concept.

Jimmy Kimmel may not have been the first person to use the concept, but I’m pretty sure he’s responsible for popularizing the idea. YTMND was probably also a factor in it’s spread.
