I don't know how to write this, so I'll just do my best!
Would you consider "Jumping on the Bandwagon" a meme? Many oekaki's and art boards use this as a term. Let's say one person does an age/art comparison, many people afterwards will do the same thing and say "jumping on the bandwagon," or "waiting for the bandwagon to pick me up." I've seen it a few times on DeviantArt as well.
I also believe it would pertain to many remixes of a song. If some one makes a RickRoll remix and there are already a couple out there, they could say that they're jumping on the bandwagon.
