Ok, let’s face it, everything that has to do with cats is strong meme material. People just love cats and this video mixes both love for cats and weirdly named technology.

The video entitled “iggy investigates an ipad” has over 4 million views by now being posted only 6 days ago. That said this is not the earlier video of a cat playing with the Ipad.

The video “Ipad Cat” subtitled “Expensive cat toy” shows a cat playing with two people and an Ipad.

And while less popular than the “iggy investigates an ipad” is the first example of this kind of videos being only ONE week old.

If this video becomes a meme (or already is) time will tell but there have already being some remixes and derivatives. Like this weird mix of Keyboard Cat, Ipad Cat and I Hate Iceland:

And of course a lot of people is now taping their cats playing with the Ipad:

Really freaking weird, Ipad Cat watching Ipad Cat in the Ipad:

So what do you think? is this meme worty material?

@Patricio Diaz: Are they better known as a phenomenon or as individual virals? Do you think that they will be notable/referenced in the future, after the iPad craze dies down?

Hmmm. Not only cats; I’ve seen iPad videos with dogs and toddlers as well. It’s very similar to reaction videos.

For now Yatta there are a few examples but increasing every day. This is a recent event, like I writed on the first post from a week old.
My idea was just making a note to see what happens next and be aware of the existence of the viral video and the first attempts of memetic material presented so far.

I agree with you Mellow, is similar to reaction videos but some of the following videos (especially the Ipad cat watching Ipad cat in the Ipad) makes me think this could have meme potencial.
