not sure if this is already confirmed or not, but if not this might be the first meme ever.

im pretty sure everyone whos ever tried computer programming is familiar with the “hello world” program.

A lot of people have accepted the idea of emoticons as the first internet meme, although the jury is still out on that one.

i’m a programmer myself, I’m getting my degree in computer science in a few days. the “hello world” program is just a dummy application to test out any language or framework, or as a first exercise for rookies.
