I’ve been watching golf and it now seems like after every shot someone yells out “Get in the hole!”. It is pretty much a ubiquitous part of golf. But is it a meme?
GET IN THE HOLE

This has grown into something bigger than someone actually rooting for a ball to roll into a hole. I know there isn’t much on the internet about it, but what is a meme anyways if it isn’t an ongoing repeated cultural phenomenon that has grown bigger than it’s original creation. Plus I think it’s funny that golf nerds get pissed off because of it.
I challenge your understanding of memes if you can’t accept that they can exist outside of the internets.
That’s not the point here.
IRL memes do exist, but this site only focus on internet related or influenced memes.
not for having a conversation about IRL memes on the internet?
They exist outside of the internet. Mustaches, religion, styles of pants, catch-phrases from popular TV shows, they all are memes. But we don’t care about documenting every meme under the sun. This is a site about internet memes.
Che Gevara is a big IRL meme. It’s been submitted here because of the images reused and modified on internet (With Boxxy, for instance) and got deadpool’d because it’s a pop culture reference. (IRL meme are mostly seen as pop culture)
Make your own mind with it.
