The need to cover IRL parts of speech

INB4 Cool Story Bro.

Ever since this website’s creation I’ve been a big critic of meme entries that cover very basic IRL slang terms, but I now understand the need.

I saw this over on Buzzfeed.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/memecore/todays-slang-translated-1ea9

The article’s subtitle is “Gen Y and Z translated” but the list actually consists of this weird mix of 70’s Jive, 90’s Gen X terms, a tiny bit of internet memes, some things that I know are definitely UK slang.

And I think she made the definitions up herself, and she’s a time traveler from the Victorian era.

That’s not how I learned it.
