I've been seeing this phrase often in YouTube comments. Especially on MW2 videos that show non-legitimate gameplay, like this one:

Do you think that this is a meme?

Do you think that this is a meme?
originates from ray william johnson who uses it to make fun of trolls
from what i can tell its only used by fans of his vids
Really, this is like saying "lol" is a meme. Fake and gay is merely an expression, it doesn't quite have the memetic mutation needed to classify it as a meme.
DiamondCrash
Do you mean LOL ?
I think we should have a whole entry on youtube comments, including "fake and gay" and the ones from this forum (Yea, I know I'm shamelessly promoting my own thread)
As long as you can find a good origin, track some examples of the spread, and somehow represent how prevalent it is, then yeah, "fake and gay" and "missed the like button" could be deserving of meme entries.
i definitely think that its a meme. its quoting something not literally meaning to say that you think something is fake or gay
I have a ton on one of my videos that's just a short cg sequence that's related to an old tabletop series from the 90s and yet half of the comments are "fake and gay" for some reason.
isnt there a 'first comment' entry?
so wouldnt fake and gay work to?
If its not a meme, its on the verge.
This comment is deserving of meme status. It was worthy of this video being made for Break.com http://www.break.com/index/how-front-page-videos-are-picked.html
I bet if you searcjed as hard as possible, you'd find some guy claiming that it was him and his mates who created Fake and Gay while on a business trip to Bangkok, as a way of poking fun at the world.
Someone commented this on my bro's video . but I gave my bro a very… mature comeback to give.
Reminded me of something I saw a few months ago. A healthy amount of relevance.
Listen to Diamond Cash and stop trying so hard to "find memes" when you clearly don't have the background knowledge to legitimize your retardation.
@Darrknox
Lol is a meme.
yeah, i do believe it is.
