Well as we all know as soon as elctions start up, people spread politic stuff all over the internet, and political comics, more so president wise, so you would you say this is a meme?

Political satire itself is no internet meme, though I believe it can develop into one. Take, for example, the Zombie McCain entry. It's not really political mockery, just regular mockery via photoshop. It's one particular exploitable that just so happened to come from on of our nations presidential nominees, making it S00PER EXPL0ITABLE OMG. Out of that, an image macro meme was born. It wasn't a political joke despite being about a politician, so it caught on with less politically-inclined individuals. Since it's about making fun of one image of McCain rather than McCain himself, the meme has a focus. There are also several mutations of this one image, which helped it spread. Those are a few reasons I think Zombie McCain is a meme, and I believe that it's been confirmed as well. If not, MY BAD, IGNORE ME.

If it IS a meme, though, perhaps you could upload other instances of similar political hijinks on them interbutts. If there are enough instances of presidential memes out there, perhaps a "presidential memes" supplemental entry could be added as a parent entry to them. Although, I would take that up with a mod before creating such an entry. Actually, I think it's pretty much ALWAYS a good idea to discuss potential entries with a mod before hastily creating them.

first page of Google, after looking up "Obama"

We already have a few political and presidential meme entries. We like meme entries that are about specific memes, not when they're about broad concepts.

Specific like this:

https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/zombie-mccain

@Sweatie

Obama being the antichrist is no meme. It didn't require the internet to spread, just dogma-induced paranoia!:P

Also, one popular image macro does NOT constitute a meme. If the base image is popular enough to merit several macros from numerous individuals all across the net, you may be onto something. The meme has to have a focus, and Chris posted some great examples that may help you differentiate between political memes, and regular political mockery that just happens to take place on the net.

Actually I was not talking about the anti christ part, as much as that was on the 1st page, being obama.

But yeah I guess in general your right.

But what about george..

Yeah, he is the antichrist.

Oh shi… NEVERMIND YOU'RE STILL TALKING ABOUT MEMES I C NAO.:P

Same goes for George. If there are jokes about him that center around a primary focus (like Iraqi shoe toss), it may be a meme.
