Just read this, seems like this guy could spark a meme.

I have three possible ways this could be absorbed into the memestream

Number 1: Shoop – Photoshop into other newsworthy situations.. Protest in Middle East? Fatguy's there.. 9/11? Fatguy.

Number 2: Caption – Take this image and change the text on the captions

Number 3: Copy – IRL people buy a cream sweater and stalk TV Crews themselves

That being said, I'm not sure about the ideas you've presented. Seems too much like Tourist Guy

It would be great memetic material, but the humor in it is too subtle for the average intermet surfer. It doesen't have the "starting lulz" that a meme needs to takeoff.
But it's very odd indeed.
EDIT:Doc has a point. If the media covers it, it can become a meme, even though probably an regional one.

i can see him being imprinted in many pics/gifs/vids. i do agree with gigiosantos, it is, for now, subtle… but i think this has real potential.
