I was doing some lurking, researching for another meme, when this picture came up.

Which made me wonder; is Xenu a meme?

I did a bit moar lurking and found some material, but I need more to be convinced. I require opinions.

I always figured Xenu was part of a series on Project Chanology.

Then again, Xenu phenomena definitely started years before Chanology.

I give you my benefit of the doubt. Wait for a third opinion tho :/

EDIT: isn't he also part of "Denouncing Scientology" on the internet in general? Hmmm… that makes it tricky b/c lots of media sources (not just the internet) denounce Scientology.

Indeed, but from what I've seen, Xenu can either be used in the context of denouncing Scientology, or simply for teh lulz.

If an entry were to be made on him, it should lean more in the lulzy direction.
