+1 Deadpool?

I wouldn't say we should make it a "rule" to provide an explanation, but I think it would be a good idea to encourage users to provide reason or evidence behind their +1 confirms or +1 deadpools. And since these +1's don't actually factor into the confirmation process anyway, it's probably just better to leave them out of comments. The KYM staff are capable of judging entires on their own.

What do all these “+1 Deadpool/work/confirm” mean?
As you read through the comments of any entry, you’ll undoubtedly stumble upon a “+1 thing”.
This kind of comment was initially used by the Admins to tell another admin when they were ready to confirm/deadpool an entry and that they were awaiting for another opinion on it.
Overtime, it has then been utilized by all users but they mustn’t be taken seriously or for granted. This is because even the newest of newcomers are jumping in on it and they usually don’t know what they are doing.
We invite you to not lose your temper with other users’ comments as well as to look for the comments that are adding arguments in their opinions as these are more likely to help you.

It was added to the FAQ further on because of that increasing phenomenon in the comments.

Many times we stepped in to say that the comments most likely to be taken seriously were the ones with arguments in it, but it has never prevented people from trolling or coming along by simply saying "+1 x" alone.

Even if they were stricter rules concerning that peculiar thing, people would easily break them anyway, for the lulz/because they don't care/don't know/are too lazy to do some research about it.

So, for the time being, I think we prefer relying on people's common sense.
It's simple, don't care about +1 things if they don't come managers/mods and, on the other hand, do care on the arguments that you think are relevant enough to the entry.

Edit: The 1 isn't really "tradition" per se, more of KYM intra-fad that got out of hand, because some people really do thing shouting "1 confirm" would help having an entry being confirmed faster.
But, anyway, that remains a great way of discovering how many people like the entry/meme itself, in a way…
