the principle is quite simple : stick a terrible music in the head of your contacts by typing a few caracteristical lyrics
usually practiced on IRC channels or IM, but now on twitter, ending with the hashtag #earworm

I guess I can sorta see it, but it seems like it's just a twitter thing right now. I mean, I know the roots of it, where it got the name, yadda yadda yadda, but unless we see more of it elsewhere, I don't think it's a meme.

i would think the same if i wasn't playing this "game" since like 5 years (without naming it) and i saw this on twitter today from ppl i don't know
but by essence it's something u can't see in web pages
