Is it time for "a series on" party crashing flash mobs?

Context: I just saw the Al Jazeera report on the 16 year old German girl who had 1500 people show up to her birthday party:

Which is, of course, related to the Kate's Birthday, William Lashua birthday party flash mob thing.

If you live in the US and watch TV, you might know that Sprint now has an entire ad campaign dedicated to the meme. They've named it and trademarked it as 'Random Acts of Togetherness™':

News reports and fans of the Sprint commerical seem to have no idea about the history of this meme. Is it time to put together an article/entry to explain it to them?

Yeah, I think we have enough empirical examples (entries on flashmob events) to recognize it as a recurring concept, treat as a parent/intro entry to individual event entries.
