I don't really listen to a lot of classical music, but I really like Gustav Holst's The Planets Suite.

My personal favourite would probably be Jupiter – The Bringer of Jollity. But Mars – The Bringer of War, Uranus – The Magician, and Neptune – The Mystic are good too. Mars is probably the one everyone has heard before though.

Jupiter simply makes me feel good. Mars is epic. Uranus is fun and odd. Neptune is… well, pretty much creepy as shit.

I won't embed videos since it always takes ages to load when there's a lot of embeds.

It doesn't necessarily have to be from the past. Here is one of my favorite living composers: (I actually learned all 3 movements of the first piece.)

If someone awesome is missing from the list, let me know. That probably means that I'm missing out on great music.

Other than playing the piano (or pretty much any keyboard instrument because I've also played the harpsichord, clavichord, organ, and accordion) and some percussion, I also write music too.
