I feel like I should balance whatever I do on this site, like not ONLY commenting but that I should also upload images if possible. How should I feel about this, and is it really that important?

By all means, upload images. But don't do it just so that your pie chart gets balanced.

Really, you want to only upload images that are relevant to the gallery you put them in, and that are not duplicates.

Making a proper entry will fill you up with multiple edits, and once you launched the entry you certainly need to fill the gallery up alongside it which then covers that.

Comments and forums posts come naturally, don't focus on those.
