Banned for Unintentional Actions

As of last week, I've been having problems with this site while using Google Chrome.

I've been banned for, according to Mr. Wu, "repeatedly visiting the same images, galleries, and even the login page over short periods of time" even though I am already logged in.

In my discussions with Mr. Wu about the issue, he says that my extensions are causing this to happen (even though I never had this problem with them in the past), while I personally believe it's the advertising (due to them constantly reloading, especially with multiple tabs open), or even my browser itself (sans extensions). He then sent me a list of the last 500 pages I've visited in the last hour, and I was honestly shocked.

So this morning, I've tried to use a different browser (Firefox, because I don't trust this site to not cause IE to crash), and noticed that my browsing experience has severely dropped in quality (images failing to load properly, etc.). So I decided to go back to Google Chrome and disable the extensions. I don't know if this will do anything other than leave my computer vulnerable (because two of those extensions are avast! Anti-malware extensions, and the other is one for a completely different site and is NSFW).

If Mr. Wu finds that I'm still causing these issues, then it can't be my extensions. I'm very upset, frustrated, confused, and practically on the verge of tears over this issue that I can't explain or understand.

Someone, please, help me!

(Also, I'm sorry if naming people on this site in particular is against the rules).

Everyone refers to "Mr. Wu" as James, it's easier if you call him that.

I suggest a few things: One, install a Virus Scanner to your System rather than your Browser. If you have it there you can take it off Chrome.

Two, Go into Control Panel, uninstall program, and HUNT AND DESTROY any and all Browser Toolbars installed. Those are evil. Purge them with the firey flames of hell itself. No seriously, get rid of that shit it has caused so much problems for me it's not even funny.

Three, If you haven't yet, scan your system for viruses. Maybe even reinstall Chrome if you have to. If the problems persist take your computer in for service or get somebody with virus cleaning know-how to scrub your system.

And as for my last suggestion: Check your settings. If you are throttling logging in each time you load up a new page, your privacy settings may have been messed with.

If those don't work hopefully somebody more geeky than me like Blue Screen will come around to help.

After a virus scan, boot into safe mode and see if you're still experiencing browsing problems. If you still are, then maybe the problem is at the router level. Rebooting that every now and then is a good idea if you have access to this.

Also, what OS are you on? 8, 7, vista, xp, 2000, 98???

Edit: Since you say you have avast!, they have a pretty good boot time scan that will scan your computer before windows loads. I would recommend you use that on "deep scan" settings.

No. If James says its you, it's you.

Sysadmins have access to stats which give away who's trying to access what on each domain and directory

When you load adverts, you access the advertisers servers. That's a transfer that goes between you and the advertisers so it cant be the adverts accessing select pages

(Firefox, because I don’t trust this site to not cause IE to crash)

This site wont cause IE to crash. Not even IE8

If it does then there is something seriously wrong with your computer, not the site

Despite the loss in quality, you should use a different browser for a while. Firefox doesn't work worse, it just works differently. It's easy to get used to.

If images aren't loading in Firefox, that may be a problem caused by your internet connection struggling with them. Chrome already has caches of images so it would load fine, while Firefox wouldn't have those caches just yet. But give Firefox time to create a cache and it will improve

Using Firefox would help James determine if it is just Chrome causing the issue

because two of those extensions are avast! Anti-malware extensions, and the other is one for a completely different site and is NSFW

I can see why James would be suspicious of your extensions.

Why do you need a Toolbar for Avast! on your browser? Avast can do its job without being integrated into Chrome. If Avast is constantly checking the domain of the website for viruses that could be one explanation for the repeated accessing

Secondly, browser extension for a NSFW site? Major red flag. Porn and viruses go hand-in-hand. I love porn as much as the next guy but I would never EVER trust any extension for NSFW material. There's probably an email address harvester for spam in that thing

You can disable those addons, but they've already been permitted to install software on your computer, there could still be active malware on your computer even with them disabled.

Give us details of these extensions. And your OS too

My last question: do you notice if Chrome reloads the page a lot?

i'd also like to point out that i use chrome, with the avast extension, and as far as i'm aware i don't access the login page 130 times a day – there's something else going on here. BSoD's theory sounds likely.

I also been banned because according to James, I tried to inflate the view count for images and I even try that a thousand times even when I was banned. The problem is, I can't even access to the website itself since I was banned.

As I could recall, my personal browser is Google Chrome and I don't had many extensions enabled on Google Chrome.

Hmm….
Is anyone else experiencing this problem with Chrome?

And also, James, when does this occur? In the morning or the evening?
