Every time I try and upload a .gif file I get a 413 error for the entity being too large.

Yes, you can upload .gif files.

An example can be found in the Happy Negro entry.

What picture are you trying to post?

.gifs work, yours is probably just too large.

You can upload files that aren't greater than 1Mo of weight, from your computer.
If they are weighier, you can copy-past a valid link from any website by clicking "Upload from URL".

But you can't upload .bmp images (and .psd files unchanged from photoshop I believe). That's the only thing that is rejected as a valid file extension here.

I think our max filesize is 4MB currently
