A while back, we had a thread in which we posted video game boss battle music that we liked. I started this thread again because I not long ago completed the game the music is from, and I realized that this music should be included in a thread like this. So let's get this back on the road! So here's the new one I'm posting.
Though I have to admit the most notable part of this music sounds a lot like the Pokemon theme.
Back before Banjo was about driving cars…
Aaaand we're done. Nothing can stand up to this.
You know I had to post something, right?
The final fight in Ocarina of Time. Such timeless memories…
A good one, but I wouldn't say it's a favorite.
This one's a personal favorite of mine

…I didn't want to overload the page with too many videos, otherwise there'd be a LOT more Touhou in this post.

I request the highest of fives.
The Second Malformation is by far THE best song I've heard on any Resident Evil game, and it's also one of my personal favourites too.
Since I listen to a lot of videogame music, I could throw in quite a few good songs from titles such as Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Eternal Sonata, Guilty Gear, and many others. But I though it might be better to present you with the boss battle song that actually got me into playing the piano (or the keyboard technically). Still one of the best boss battle themes ever.

I love how this song transforms from something silly into something serious.
And this one, I do not think I actually played the game, but it is one of my favorites that I have heard.

I started commenting on all of the themes, but I realized that I was repeating myself. I kept thinking and saying the same thing: I feel like I enjoy the themes more from games that I know and played more than from games that I haven't played and don't know. I think that you usually have to know the game from beginning to final battle to get the full effect of the music.
There are some exceptions. I've played through Portal 2 (co-op, so it's a bit different, but I know the tone of the game) and the final theme from that doesn't really do it for me. On the other hand, I really liked Nair's theme from Ace Combat 5, I've never played it, I know nothing about the game, and I'm not likely to play it.
Anyway, I got caught up with Fire Emblem music, so here's this.
It plays when you're mid-battle with a powerful foe.
Name of the song: Powerful Foe.
This is why we CAN have nice things.
@Verbose
Well, the boss music chosen throughout the thread has actualy typically been final bosses.
Though in a couple of cases they're more themes for characters in question. (Apart from Cirno's, there's Clash on the Big Bridge, which basically IS the theme of Gilgamesh at this point.)
…And since this is a separate post to my previous one…
MORE TOUHOU!
This one has been stuck in my head the most.
Hands down on the best I've ever heard
I feel like I need to post more songs, so I'm going to:

Damn, it didnt go quite as planned.
Well, you just have to copypaste.
After playing Super Meat Boy, and buying its soundtrack, I noticed it's music was amazing, and very retro.
If we're gonna have boss battle music, why not have some from a few of my favorite games of all time?
