Favorite Arthropod?

Post your favorite insect, arachnid, or crustacean here!
No other animal groups please.

For example, my favorite one is the Dead leaf mantis (above), but Orchid mantis (below) is fine too.
Why mantises? They are graceful, beautiful murderers that rape and eat anything surrounding them.

I like Dead leaf mantis more because it reminds me of autumn.

I’m a fan of Trilobites. Too bad they’re all dead.

This thread bugs me.

But seriously though, I like scorpions. I have a stinging interest in them.

Every freaking hair on the back of my neck stood up and I had goosebumps run down my back. I don’t even hate spiders.

I like Trilobites too. I remember my uncle making a sculpture of one when I was a little kid.

I don’t really have a favourite.

My least favourite are the robotic kind. ESPECIALLY the ones from Metropolis Zone.

Seriously, those ones can just f**k off.

That depends. Are the spiders venomous?

Did you know, the BWS venom also gives the victim a longlasting erection? Like 4 hours or more.

That makes crouching very painful.

Yeah, the priapism is one of the reasons it’s my favorite.

The Mantis Shrimp.

Aside from it’s lethal, armor-shattering punches (which are totally neat), there’s also its eyes. It has 16 different colour receptors in its eyes. That is, compared to the 3 humans have. So it sees billions of colours that we, as humans, literally cannot imagine. That fact sort of blew my mind, and was a contributing factor in me obtaining a biology degree.
