I have a thing for sad songs that you don't really know are sad until you look up what the song is about.

"Daniel", about a boy who's veteran brother comes back from the Vietnam war blind.

"Like you", about how Amy Lee (the singer) longs to be with her little sister who died at the age of three.

Being serious now, this is the ultimate sad song.

But man is it fucking great.

Not sure if most people consider this sad, but…

Pretty much all of Kanye's 808's and Heartbreak is sad, considering he wrote it after his fiance dumped him and the death of his mom.
