What is your favorite video game opening?

Mine would be this

Because the first time I listened to it was on a stormy night and I had my headphones on. Ever since I would come back to youtube and watch the opening every once in a while.

Mainly because it was simply a great game.

If we include endings, the ending to Red Dead Redemption is simply amazing. I can’t get the cutscene due to copyright issues though.

This is a good one, too.

Srry guys, but imam root for FInal fantasy IX’s opening mission. I still love the set up. Great way to introduce all the main heros and players.

How about the endings of Karateka?

This is the best opening and ending, just 15 seconds long! Embedding disabled. :(

Spencer Jelly wins the thread.
Nothing tops Zero Wing intro…

… or should I say, All Your Base Are Belong To Us?

(yeah, THAT intro created THAT meme.)

but honestly, that intro spawned the All Your Base meme.

Nothing can top it as a result, so he wins the thread.

OMG, LEIK NOE WAI!!!1!!21!!!

Sorry, but that is pretty much common knowledge here, so if you’d do us the favour of not lording your “knowledge” about memes over us that would be great. Since the vast majority know way more about memes than you do, you just end up looking like a jack-ass.

Best game intro ever, providing you overlook the very beginning.

This video’s laggy, it was filmed on the PC.

I think y’all are forgetting about Blaster Master:

When I first heard that music and saw the car blast off- I was pumped, and I knew this was going to be one of the greatest games I would ever play.

I don’t know if this qualifies as an opening, but it’s at the beginning of the game and it’s awesome.

Jul 01, 2010 at 12:24PM EDT

‘’’’:URL ok i dont no if im right but this is my favorite opening

Jul 03, 2010 at 03:31PM EDT

I figured it out. My favorite VG Op would be Suikoden IV’s but mostly because of the theme, “La Mer” which is my favorite opening theme from any video game.
