always if i am on memebase i get forwarded to other sites, mostly advertising, is this only me (virus ?) or is it a new form of stupid advertising ?

Know Your Meme does not handle the going on’s at Memebase, however you may have downloaded some ad-ware that does that to you.

If you use Firefox, go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> and check “Warn me if a Website tries to re-direct me or refresh the page”. It will keep you from being re-directed unless you want to be.

It’s merely a temporary fix, so try to get your computer checked as soon as possible.
