Weird user glitch?

Whenever I look in a discussion, and there’s a post by the user James, the “edit” and “delete” buttons are there on his post, but they redirect you to the homepage with a red bar at the top that says you’re unable to view that page. What’s with this glitch, and are others getting this?

EDIT Yes, occasionally users will have the buttons to edit and delete the post, but they cannot because they aren’t that user nor an admin. Also which users buttons you can see are different for different people, not just james.EDIT
