For mods' eyes only?

I realized something today that bothered me, and I don’t know whether it’s worth the effort to fix, or if any other mods agree with me.

I don’t know if it’s all mods or just those of us with media privs, but when an image is removed from the database, it’s still visible to mods. While I understand there’s some utility to this, there are also some drawbacks. Namely, today I was doing a search, and a pornographic image came up on my screen, not even blocked by a NSFW thingie. I was shocked that it wasn’t either blocked or removed outright, and when I went to fix the situation, I realized that it wasn’t flagged NSFW because it technically wasn’t there. …but it was still popping up on my screen, which could potentially have been embarrassing.

Does anyone else think this needs a programming tweak, or is it rare enough (it’s only the second time it’s happened to me) that it’s not worth the bother?

What, you want me to go find it again? I’ll check my history and message you.

Removed images shouldn’t show up in search. Search results are cached for an hour though so that might be what happened.

My search matched one of its tags (all of which I have since removed) if that’s of any help.
