Thanks for the tips, Dr. Meme.
Found an odd bunch of spam bots here: Attempting to access any of these profile pages just redirects to the spammer’s website.

Just deleted their spam thread. A couple of links to sites that I’m not going to click on but seemed suspicious.

Ok, something new here.

I know of one other user that got this PM. The user is MumboMonkey, but she has already been deleted.
Anyway, keep an eye out for PMs as well as funny usernames and spam thread OPs.

Also, his post here was up-voted so there is likely another account.

I’m going to guess that she PMed these people since she “followed” me before messaging me. I find it strange that these sorts of people who are supposed to be professional users of “social marketing” can be so clueless.
I need to figure out how to get one of those gigs. Rather than ham-handedly tossing around links and getting kicked off of sites in a day or two, I don’t think it would be hard to lurk for a few days to know the community, involve yourself in various social activities, become just liked enough that people won’t immediately realize you’re a spammer, and then casually drop links in the midst of appropriate discussions or on your own profile wall.

Ten of ’em, just erased them all. Each one was made from the IP address 173.234.217.193, so perhaps the admins might want to consider a block on that address?
I found a user called Sponge Beat that keeps embedding galleries in the comment section.

Meme Freak (A guy Sponge Beat is following) appears to be doing the same thing from the same site.

I’m thinking this one might be the same as the last one. It’s a random assortment of letters and numbers. I think it might even be adverts for the same site.

I haven’t found anyone, but I’ve noticed a lot of spammers have “daniel” in their name. I suggest searching daniel to find anymore spammers.

Advertising a band in a thread…with a very inappropriate title.
