Actually I don’t think that’s unrelated, but I can remove it anyway.

Is duplicate image removal even worth the effort on the MLP entry, given the sheer number of images there are? Cleanup is always good, but given the tremendous amount of time and effort it would take and the significant room for error…

Back when I was first uploading it the top spot it was possible, but it is not a feasible thing to attempt now.
Focus your attention on the other MLP related entries, they can still be controlled.

Please remove this. I posted it and I found out that I accidentally submitted the wrong file. I have one with less personal info on it.

I posted a video then a noob copied it into an image then posted it on the image boards. And guess what. He is getting all the credits for it.

I was cleaning up the entry for Bad Romance and I noticed that a large portion of the pictures in the gallery are not related to the entry. I was wondering why people would be using this entry as a dumping ground, especially since the same seems to be going for videos. Then I realized that it was the same reason I started editing it in the first place: Before I edited the entry, its name had a space in front of it, making it come first alphabetically in drop-down menus. I think people have been dumping stuff there on accident when they didn’t mean to link it to an entry. So…

Regardless, I do not think I can ban people, I can just remove images.

As strongly hinted at by 00CLANK, the “Photo Moderator” position does not have the ability to ban users. If there is a user you suspect of being a spammer or posting otherwise inappropriate material, your best way to respond would be to drop a note in this thread or contact a Database Moderator or Site Admin.

I was just on my way here to report the images that VanManner lists above, but I was going to suggest that out of an interest in avoiding the appearance of bias, instead of deleting those images, we should move them to the Barack Obama entry.

There used to be another image moderator, but I am fairly certain he no longer comes around.

Also, I cannot move images, I can only remove them or edit a few things. Though, what is biased about taking down pictures of Obama in an entry about another person?

This is a duplicate.

This is the original, but the duplicate is bigger. I’ll let the experts figure out how to deal with that. If you can post your reasoning here, then please let me know if a higher quality duplicate should be left if the original is still has decent quality/size.
 
I think Senior and Database Moderators can ban and delete images. On the whole, if you can run down a database mod, most direct issues can be resolved by them. But even if not, lesser mods like me and 00CLANK can find a moderator who can handle the problem.

Well I think if we have them both to compare, going with the larger/higher quality would be better.

If someone higher up disagrees, let me know so I can adjust my policy.
