Topic keyword throttle to prevent spam?

If we block certain words like say “weight loss” and stuff like that from being used in topics, wouldn’t it mean that we’d be getting less spam on this website?

Bumping old topic, I know. But I thought I should point something out

I think Cracked.com uses this in their comments. If you type keywords like Facebook or Rogain in them, the comment gets auto-deleted

Unfortunately lots of people also complain about ‘missing comments’ over there so I wouldn’t recommend it, personally. It tends to wipe out as many legit posts as actual spam.

It would be better to upgrade spam checks at the door since Captcha’s no longer work
