Screencaps are a popular action on forums where a user takes a screenshot of an epic win/fail happening in a thread. It’s incredibly popular on 4chan as epic wins/fails seem to occur pretty frequently. Users archive these so everyone can see the the thread in all its glory. Popular threads are usually archived at http://4chanarchive.org/
