Bester Mann is a scene from one of the 5 episodes, 11th – 15th episode, of RTL 2's scripted reality TV series "X-Diaries – love, sun & fun!" in season one featuring Julian Schirmer and Tom Röder doing their handshake, which it inspired parody videos on YouTube starting from July 2011.

Origin

The 5 episodes were aired in a scripted reality TV show called "X-Diaries" in the german TV broadcaster "Radio Television Luxemburg 2" (short: RTL 2, RTL II) from August 30, 2010 until September 3, 2010.

The episodes were then uploaded to YouTube on October 22, 23 and 24, 2010 by MVPtr4sh and all of them gained over 100.000 views. Then YouTuber marciiiiiiii uploaded 24 individual scenes from the episodes on December 17, 2010 until January 10, 2011. The last uploaded scene is the Bester Mann video, which gained until in the middle of July 2012 over 286.100 views.

On July 21, 2011, YouTuber Cru1sinq13337 uploaded a parody video combined with the bait and switch meme Where Da Hood At . Because of the bait and switch meme's popularity, the parody video gained over 43.500 views and it has been re-uploaded 12 times. One of the re-uploaded videos gained over 208.000 views.

After re-uploading them, there are many users, that have been inspired making their own parodies by also adding different video effects, other faces on them and other songs.
