Origins
The meme originated in September 2010 in the Philippines, a country in Southeast Asia. It first appeared on MemeGenerator.Net. and has since then modestly spread to Tumblr (fuckyeahbitchella). and other social networking sites. The original image comes from a candid picture taken during a party.
Spread
The meme has already popped up on many websites such as Tumblr, Facebook, 4chan, FunnyJunk and 9gag. The Bitchella meme possibly spawned the Bitchella entry in Urban Dictionary., but this has yet to be confirmed.
