Bonk or Boink videos include footage and sound clips from Team Fortress 2 of the Scout’s signature “Bonk” or “Boink” sound that he makes when striking an opponent.
This was first seen in the official “Meet the Scout” video seen in the game.
Bonk became an even more popular catch phrase with the release of the Sandman bat upgrade. There was much hype.
By comparing Google Insights and Youtube’s own metrics, we can ascertain that interest in Bonk videos comes primarily from fans of other Bonk videos. That is to say, people watch one, then watch another, but rarely search for them via Google.
