About
Bran Flakes is a fictional cereal brand used in a segment of the episode "As Seen on TV" in the TV show "Spongebob Squarepants". During this segment, Spongebob encounters an old man who says that he has seen Spongebob on television, then it cuts to a flashback of the old man watching a TV commercial for Bran Flakes, followed by a shot of the cereal boxβ¦which is yellow, and rectangular, just like Spongebob. It cuts back to Spongebob and the old man, and while Spongebob walks away, the old man says, "See you later, Bran Flakes!"
Unrelated band of the same name
The Bran Flakes is the name of a band created in 1998 who used sounds from the soundtracks of TV shows and video games in their music. They also hunted down rare and obscure LP vinyls in order to use them as well.
