Late on Monday 10th of January, a twitterbomb was proposed a reddit user ‘thefamousmoe’. What ensued was not merely a redditbomb and abandon as had been planned, but instead the target ‘Capen Apple’ (or crapple) received instant cult status – with the internetz fame spreading through reddit, twitter, tumblr, 4chan and potentially other chans (unconfirmed).

The original lulz has thus deadpooled, whilst crapple and the @crapple tag linger on, in what will soon be declared overkill.
