<b>Origin of "then it was like...gone..."</b>
The phrase "then it was like...gone..." began in the MMO 'Lord of the Rings Online' in June of 2009 as a player (named Calene) fell off a pillar and died during a group raid. When explaining how he died, Calene described how he fell off the pillar by saying "then it was like...gone...". Mooseville and Roarco, the other members of the group began spamming this phrase throughout the game's chat channels. Since then, this phrase has spread rapidly across the internet.
<b>Usage</b>
The normal usage of this phrase is to simply insert it randomly in a forum post, I.M., or any other form of online communication, especially after someone else has said something.
