On April 1st, 2012, many notable Internet companies created April Fool’s Day sites, apps and videos to celebrate the occasion.

Social news site reddit featured a timeline that allowed for fictional simulated links and text posts to be displayed based on various years.


Image hosting site Imgur adopted a giraffe as the mascot of the site named imguraffe. In addition the background of the website was changed to that of a skin of a giraffe.
