On July 15, 2010, The full cut of the Facebook movie trailer, “The Social Network” was released to the public. And it was good, but cheesy. So cheesy, that it warped the minds of the general public, and made it seem that every internet company, ever, had a melodramatic origin story. Thus, making trailers for different internet companies became a slow-burning meme, complete with choirized covers of Radiohead’s “Creep.”
