July 2009, a video appeared on YouTube filmed by a very enthusiastic man while chasing after a taxi cab, trying to inform the driver that there is a goose stuck in the grille of his car.

The man, never actually seen in the video, was nicknamed Fågelturken ("The Bird Turk"), becoming a part of what has become a Turk meme naming convention in Sweden (see Laserturken, Skogsturken, Knullturken). The video has some 300 000 views, while a subtitled version uploaded a month later has over a million.

Presumably the memeiety comes from the man's somewhat lacking Swedish skills reminiscent of lolcat speak, and his extreme politeness and sincere concern for the (long dead) bird, contrasted with the rude and completely disinterested cab driver.

"Vänta vänta vänligen" ("Wait wait, kindly")
"Du har en fågel på dig" ("You've got a bird on you")
"Fågel! Fågel! Fågel! Fågel! Fågel!!" ("Bird! Bird! Bird! Bird! Bird!!!!")
"Han tänker inte på fågel!" ("He's not concerned with bird!")

Taxi driver: "Det spelar ingen roll." ("It doesn't matter.")
Bird Turk: "Det spelar roll!" ("Does matter too!")

Several parodies and remixes appeared, one of them a dance tune which appeared on the iTunes Music Store in November 2010, which led to it getting some play on the dance floors of Swedish nightclubs in the winter of 2010.
