“FINISH HIM”, “FATALITY”, “FRIENDSHIP”, “BRUTALITY” and “ANIMALITY” are only some of the phrases originating in the “Mortal Kombat” game series. .
The origin of this catchphrases was in the fighting videogame “Mortal Kombat”, created by Midway in 1992 for the arcades.
In this game, the player can make this special moves only when the slogan “FINISH HIM” (or HER) is spoken by a speaker and appears on the screen indicating the time to the final strike against the defeated opponent.
