Fireballs yum!

Super Mario World is a cartoon series based upon the popular video game of the same name, and continues the Mario series of cartoons after the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. The show carried over the campy humor of the previous shows, and introduced Yoshi as a character, like the game on which it is based.

One episode in particular, has Mario and company attacked by a few of Bowser’s minions throwing fireballs at them. Yoshi notices, and shouts “Fireballs! Yum!” and proceeds to eat them, spitting them back at the enemies, thus defeating them. Due to this random reaction, and the fact that Yoshi speaks like a toddler (pronouncing “fireballs” as “fiyahbaws”), this has become a popular internet meme.
