Francis Hates X (2008)

Left 4 Dead is a survival-horror/action shooter game developed by VALVe Software. In the game, players take the role of 1 of 4 survivors, fighting through hordes of infected humans attempting to reach a safe house or be rescued.

The survivors are Bill, a Vietnam war veteran; Zoey, an average college girl and fan of horror movies/novels; Louis, the assistant manager at an electronics store, and father of the Grabbin’ Peelz meme; and Francis, your average tattooed biker.

The Meme Itself
The meme comes from Francis’ habit of saying that he hates whatever he is currently presented with.
E.G:
(Opens safe room door and sees a large staircase)
Francis: I hate stairs.
or
Louis: We should head for the river!
Francis: I hate the water.

This spawned the idea that Francis hates pretty much everything, and so he has been seen hating many different things, ranging from pills to tanks to maps.

The meme, to a degree, is an exploitable as it usually consists of Francis, usually with an irritated look on his face, photoshopped into a picture with a caption saying “I hate (Whatever is in the picture with him)”

Usage
On forums or other such sites, it usually equates to buzzkilling, posting a Francis picture in response to another post or just saying what he would say. E.G:

Poster A: OMG I just got my first car
Poster B: I hate cars.

You know what I don’t hate?

Surprisingly, Francis doesn’t hate EVERYTHING. At certain points in the game he will say, “You know what I don’t hate? I don’t hate vests.” (He is always wearing a leather vest)

So, if someone does like post, they could post an image of a grinning Francis, photoshopped into a picture with a caption saying, “You know what I don’t hate? I don’t hate (Subject of picture)”
