Hatten Ar Din! or "The hat is yours!" was a Swedish meme created sometime in the year 2000, using the song "Habbeetik" from the tape "Meen ma Kenty/Habbaytek" or "Whoever you are/I Loved You, or I Fell In Love With You" performed by Azar Habib, a Lebanese Singer and composer.

while intoxicated, swede pete bagge (whom recieved the tape from his friend Patrik Nyberg, whose father aquired the tape while on duty as a UN officer) comments that the song "sounds swedish" and that some of the lyrics sound like they refer to a popular swedish drinking game involving hats (the most intoxicated player must where a hat) and in 2000 (16 years after the creation of the song)Patrik Nyberg, Peter Bagge, and Johan Gröndahl completed a phonetic translation of the lyrics, and circulated the lyrics along with an mp3 file of the song,which quickly grew in popularity.

Later in the same year another swede named Veckans Hatt created a flash animation mainly depicting middle eastern men in mostly identical hats (among stranger imagery) and the website http://come.to/hatten which according to Wikipedia and the hatten article on mlcsmith.com, have been in-operational for eight years (showing how quickly this fad died out).

Popularity
While famous in Sweden, it was a sensation (at the time) in many english speaking countries, where the animation was better known as Hatt-Baby.
Azar Habib was interviewed by a journalist from the stockholm newspaper, in which he was very surprised at the popularity of the song, but seemed to enjoy the idea, although countless commercial copies had been made without his permission.

The propagation of the meme inspired the similar "Han teleporterar Taliban" ("He teleports Taliban") – another Swedish-phonetic lyricization of a foreign song, in this case by Daler Mehndi – and Ansiktsburk, based on Azar Habib's am tekbar el farha.
