THE BEGINNING:
The numerous pages in the ‘Photoshop Hide-the-Pain-Harold’ thread all reveal a crucial fact within their images. Although difficult to see with the naked eye, all Harold images contain a very large swirled watermark covering approximately 50% of the image. In the bottom right corner, there is another microscopic watermark reading, “dreamstime.com”. These clues are difficult to decode, but many believe that Harold was a model for an ancient stock image company.

RISE TO FAME:
Harold became an iconic figure within the community of users on memecenter.com at the beginning of 2014. After his growing popularity and many users creating Harold posts, the admins of the website decided to include a ‘Harold’ folder for reaction images in the comment section. Harold was not always in the spotlight though. A user (craftypasta) was known for his obsession with Harold, but nobody understood what Harold was or how he was important in the meme world. After he started creating vicious comments and posts containing Harold’s involvement of the rape arts, the admins were appalled and permanently banned the user. It is unknown whether it was support of Harold or mocking the banned user, but many users starting using Harold in their jokes/posts. In mid 2014, Harold returned with a vengeance.

the OP probably just wanted to create this entry and get help writing from others. any info i can find, i will keep pushing to get edited. one day this entry shall be worthy and glorious – hopefully today.

well i did spread it in memecenter with another user called pertinax(http://www.memecenter.com/fun/3802571/helga-gets-nailed/comments) being us the main promoters, we did so many harold memes that the admins on the site implemented harold pics in the site image gallery.
(sorry for the self insert :p)

That’s the problem here, it doesn’t simply become a meme just because 2 people flood memecenter with images of it. That’s not how it works.

this is not spam, nor is it made up. i can confirm the information above is true, as i am one of harold’s lovers and followers. harold is love, harold is life. long after the harold thread died, he was recreated on memecenter, via accounts dedicated to posting harold memes. more people began making harold accounts, harold memes, and eventually the memecenter admins made a gallery folder for ‘harold’ images.

And you created a new account an hour ago just to tell me you’re all forcing it? Yeah you’re pretty much spamming.
