@Shaymin0000
It WOULD be funny if it wasn’t incredibly common. Typically, about three or more users will randomly come across the same deadpooled page and, of course, post omgopisafagepicfailtrololo; instant trending status. And I don’t think this is going to stop happening any time soon.

Listnen, I like small equines learning about the value of companionship as much as the next guy, but it seems unnecessary to have so many pages for all the little nooks and crannies that are mlp fan work. Through ungodly crap and top-tier artwork, not every little thing needs to be explained in depth.

@krateng:

I quote RandomMan’s comment below:

A submeme has to be unique to the certain fandom it’s related to. Humanized art isn’t unique to MLP, it’s in every fandom. MLP is currently the number 1 fandom when it comes to activity. This of course results in a lot of fanart, of which humanized is no exception. But that doesn’t make it more unique. Popularity also results in more spread of course, but that’s what the art section on the main article is for. Popular overall fads and subject just tend to be attracted to each other.

Additionally, KYM isn’t meant to be a pony image site. Having images and fanart is great, since it demonstrates the creativity of the fandom, so we encourage (non-duplicate) uploads. But, KYM isn’t designed to categorize such images based on tags – our tagging system is pretty basic, and applies to entries and videos as well. If you want to browse pony images with advanced tagging systems, try sites like Derpibooru and TwentyPercentCooler.

I hope that helps clear things up.

I don’t see why this is deadpooled. There are still many pictures made every week, but uploaded to the normal MLP:FIM gallery. That’s actually quite annoying since I love humanized ponies, NSFW or SFW, and have to look through that whole MLP gallery (and clicking on the NSFW thumbnails just to find a weird furry fantasy in 90 % of the cases) just to enjoy some humanized MLP art. It would be a lot easier if the humanized stuff could just go here.

We should probably merge this with the “ponification” entry….
Granted, it’s the opposite concept, but essentially the same idea--
Take a character from one show and make them into a different species with a different art style.

Well, humanization is a fad for all art forms. Not just ponies. So, it doesn’t really deserve a page to itself. It’s like the reverse of Ponyfication.

deadpooled?
at first could not believe it, but after pondering a little, now I understand who is in deadpool.
everyone thinks to john joseco (and megasweet) is the best designer, but it is not.
the main problem is that as he draw too much (and more in nsfw) runs out of ideas of other people (reason for which there are lack of humanized ponies),and ok …
so this in deadpool.

The Gijinka (I don’t know how it’s spelled) always kind of struck me as furry-ish, so I can’t say I like it. The more realistic art’s amazing though, and I can see why people want to draw them as humans.
But it kind of seems like it’ll turn into a fetish thing (well, moreso anyway) because it’s the internet.

But it kind of sucks that it was deadpooled. I can tell that a lot of effort went into it. :(
