*Description*
The "I Agree With Nick" catchphrase arose after the airing of the UK Election Debate on the 15th of April 2010, where many polls declared Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats the winner. David Cameron and Gordon Brown, the other party leaders participating in the debate, appeared to be falling over themselves trying to win Clegg's support. The words "I agree with Nick" were uttered several times by Gordon Brown. Soon many journalists were using the catchphrase, and within a week many "I Agree With Nick" merchandise was already for sale on websites such as Zazzle.co.uk. Oliver Burkeman in the Guardian wrote

"Obama had 'Yes we can'. Clegg has 'I agree with Nick' Obama as a youth, flirted with hard drugs. Clegg set fire to a cactus"

*Aftermath*
Clegg's support rose sharply after the debate, with some polls even putting him ahead of his opponents.
