Island Hitler is a 4chan meme that arose late in 2009.
It is derived from a commercial for Belgian magazine HUMO. Three Sesame Street characters are paddling in a canoe, singing about going to the beach and that anyone can come alone. Eventually they pass Adolf Hitler on an island, exchanging nervous glances. The next scene shows Hitler in the canoe, while the characters keep rowing in awkward silence.
