Jack Sparrow’s Jar Of Dirt was a joke in the movie Pirates Of The Carribbean:Dead Man’s Chest. Jack Sparrow gets an obsession with a jar of dirt, dances with it, and shows it off to everything like it was a big deal.Instantly this was a big hit for the internet. Many people started making fanart and videos for that quote alone. As you can see in he Google Insights graph above, search terms for “Jar of Dirt” peaked in 2006, when the movie was released.

Within months, a YouTube user named NeonHurricane made a music remix of the quote and it was a big hit. Currently it has 5 million + views.
